Questions and answers
How much does FONE cost?
The FONE LIFE package costs €2.500 + VAT, and then €180 / year for support and updates. That is €15 a month, charged once a year. The demonstration at your home is free. The device price is significantly lower than most imported eye-communication systems, which often cost €8.000–16.000. The subscription covers updates and support. The basic function of the device stays active without it.

Can I see it before I decide?
Yes. We come to your home for a free demonstration, with no obligation at all. There is an introduction, a short gaze setup, a try with the eyes or by touch, and we show word prediction, SOS and Telegram. We answer whatever you want to ask about price, the subscription and support. It helps if the person is there, with a family member or the caregiver, and the speech therapist or occupational therapist if they can come. We follow the person’s pace and tiredness and, if needed, we take breaks. Contact us about your area. After the demonstration you decide in your own time.
How do delivery and learning the device work?
If you decide FONE suits you, we bring the device to your home, set it up for the person, and show the family how to use it. Support afterwards is in Greek: by phone, remotely, with automatic updates. If something does not work, you call us on 211 12 12 235 and, where we can, we sort it out remotely.
How is gaze different from touch?
Both ways are on the same device. With the eyes, the camera understands where you are looking. You hold your gaze for a moment on a letter or a phrase and it is selected. At the start there is a short calibration, and we show it with you. With touch, you use the screen whenever it suits you, and the eye keyboard stays available. Communication with the eyes or by touch can follow as needs change. You do not have to choose only one way forever on the first day.
Which languages does it support?
Greek and English, with a natural Greek and English voice. You choose the voice on the device. We do not add other spoken languages beyond these two.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The basic communication features also work without an internet connection. Telegram messages, AI Companion and updates need a connection.
Is it a medical device?
No. FONE is a technology communication aid and it is not a certified medical device. For which aid fits the person, speak with their speech therapist or doctor as well.
